What will you make possible?

The Lerner School was founded on the generosity of our donors and the support of our community. Your gift builds on this legacy of giving—ensuring a greater future for the school we all love.

Give Today

Your gift supports the highest standards of academic excellence, the fostering of a shared Jewish culture, and the building of a diverse and caring community. Donor support ensures every Lerner child flourishes as a confident student, a compassionate community member, and as an ethical citizen.

Lerner Fund

The Lerner Fund is a yearly campaign to help bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a Lerner education. Lerner Fund dollars are an integral part of Lerner’s annual operating budget and are essential to Lerner’s sustainability and growth.  Your dollars support:

  • Flexible Tuition
  • Innovative integrated curriculum, encompassing Jewish Studies & Hebrew
  • Hands-on environmental curriculum spiraled from pre-school-5th grade
  • Enrichment in art, music, and PE
  • Immersive Hebrew language education
  • Special initiatives such as the Compassion Project
  • Individualized instruction that challenges and supports all types of learners
  • Artists-in-Residence programs
  • Professional Development
  • And so much more…

Sustainers are donors who contribute a minimum of $1000 annually to the Lerner Fund. Sustaining donors are vital to the Lerner School’s continued innovation and sustainability.

Sustainers account for approximately 15% of our donor base and 62% of the dollars donated.

Celebrate a simcha (happy occasion) or remember a loved one through a donation to the Lerner Fund in honor/memory of someone or an event.

All donations made in honor/memory are recognized in Gesher (Lerner’s Weekly Newsletter) and an acknowledgement is sent to the individual/family or institution.

The Chai Fund

We recognize that a robust, innovative, and affordable Jewish learning environment is a necessity for a vibrant Jewish tomorrow.  A Lerner School endowment will allow us to not only sustain our school, but also to think bigger, reach higher, and transform our small southern Jewish Community Day School into a powerhouse of Jewish learning and living that is desired by many and admired by all.  It will give us the freedom to go beyond our current successes, and the ability to invest and innovate across multiple arenas, both within and beyond the classroom.

In 2014 the Lerner Board established the Chai Endowment Fund in honor of Lerner’s 18th year. The following year Lerner was accepted into a three year endowment building program, sponsored by PEJE (The Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education) and the AVI CHAI Foundation.

Your commitment to the Chai Endowment Fund will ensure a Lerner education for students now and generations to come.
