The Lerner Jewish Community Day School is seeking a highly qualified, energetic, self-motivated individual to run the front office of our school.  Currently, our school, which runs from 8:00 AM-3:15 PM Monday-Friday, serves 112 children, ages 2 through fifth grade.  The program has 26 employees.  Any candidate for this position should possess creativity, flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a passion for children.  The Lerner School places a deep emphasis on the individual needs of each child and provides an education that is rich in Jewish values, customs, rituals and celebrations.  The Office Manager/Marketing Assistant is a full-time, 12-month position that reports directly to the Head of School.  The Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front office which includes managing the front desk, supporting the administrative team, maintaining office records, and managing the school’s digital footprint.

    • Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar, & Drive)
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Graphic design programs (Adobe InDesign, Canva, etc.)
  • Familiar with all social media platforms
  • Understanding of Jewish culture and traditions



Office Management

  • Administrative support for Head of School and manage Head of School’s calendar
  • Supervise and tend to the needs of elementary students that come to the front office (medical needs, parent communication, snacks, etc.)
  • Answer phones and direct calls
  • Manage Front Door and visitors
  • Managing the school’s general email box
  • Distribute mail
  • Maintain online student attendance system
  • Assist Admissions Director with managing student files and transcripts
  • Last-minute communication about student transportation (liaison between parents and teachers/students) – carpool changes, early pick-ups, etc.
  • Assist in creating the weekly school newsletter
  • Manage inventory and order supplies
  • Manage permission slips and scheduling for field trips
  • Responsible for upkeep and follow-through of the emergency protocols
  • Support school community events

Marketing and Social Media:

  • Work with the Advancement Team assisting and supporting the Head of School, Admissions and Communications Director, and Advancement Director.
  • Manage social media presence and platforms (FB, Insta, YT, and TW)
  • Establish relationships with teachers for content from classrooms & teachers

Salary Range: $30,000 – $40,000
