I hope you had a wonderful first week of school with your children, because we had a fantastic first week with them here at Lerner. Our first week was filled with smiles, learning, and kindness.
As we do every year, we again have new students in each class. Our returning students are welcoming and kind to our new students. While observing classes, I was struck by how quickly our new students and our returning students have formed friendships. Some students have started translating for their new friends. Others have saved seats or become impromptu tour guides. I am so proud of all our students, as they continue to organically demonstrate our school values of g’milut hasadim (acts of loving kindness) and kavod (respect) for each other.
It brings me so much joy to see these acts of kindness unfold every day at the Lerner School. These small acts by our students give me so much hope for our future and the growing impact they will have on the world around them.
L’shalom,
Beth Null
Head of School
